Democrats Ready to Sell Out On Wiretap Law

Greetings. According to the New York Times, Democrats in Congress -- still terrified of looking soft if they don't give the Bush administration essentially everything it wants to spy on communications, including possibly indemnifying the telcos for their illegal wiretapping already performed -- are apparently ready to roll over and sell some of our most precious standards down the river. Gutless and spineless are the most polite descriptions I can come up with right now.

Simply nauseating.
